17 Perak players centralized

31 January 2020 – Perak women gathered for the first time as they gear up for the 2020 SUKMA. 17 players made their way to Ipoh as the team made the full use on the Chinese New Year holiday to completed the training camp.

Team manager, Afifi Arif is certainly delight with the commitment shown by his squad. “It’s great to see the players gathered for the very first time. They gave their best effort in the 4 days of training.” share Afifi. He is also hoping for the ladies to take their own initiative when they train on their own.

“I expect them to come back in a good condition for the second part in February. It’s always important to keep the focus on the target even though they need to train on their own,” added Afifi.

They certainly have some pedigree at their disposal with experienced players who compete in the previous 2018 SUKMA. They will be relishing to do way better than what they did in 2018.

Ahmad Nasri Mawardi and Suhaimi Sudin act as the coach for the Perak Women team with Afifi Arif as the team manager.

The team, however, will have to wait until the end of February to test what they got in their disposal. They set to travel east to compete in the Pre-SUKMA tournament, scheduled to take place in Terengganu.
