Blues honour players’ retirement

12 January 2020 – Royal Malaysia Police Blues celebrated 6 players who retired from their service. The event took place at the Oakwood Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur.

The 6 players are

  1. YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Rafique bin Ramli Ariffin
  2. YBhg. Tuan Mohd Nassim bin Abdullah
  3. YBhg. Tuan Safiee bin Ishak
  4. YBhg. Tuan Abu Bakar bin Chik
  5. YBhg. Encik Rohaizat bin Abu Samah
  6. YBhg. Encik Rosali bin Johari

Dato’ Mohd Rafique bin Ramli Ariffin was an outstanding player during his younger day. He played for RMP Blues as well as selected to represent Malaysia. He played for Malaysia in the 1982 ARFU in Singapore as well as in Fukuoka, Japan for the 1984 ARFU. Dato’ Mohd Rafique also has 2 King Cup medals to his name as PDRM won the championship twice in his time.

The event was chaired by SAC Abd Ghani Muhamad Ji. The main purpose was to commemorate the players who had contributed to the success and the development of the Royal Malaysia Police Rugby team on both national and international level.
