2019 Review : Top state

31 December 2019 – This is the year for Terengganu to remember as they claimed two national titles. Terengganu had won both National 7s and Agong Cup.

Terengganu won their second 7s title in 10 years time after they last won it back in 2016. Terengganu gathered top and finest 7s players and went all the way to final. They dominated the final and defeated Kelantan.

In 15s, Terengganu finally clinched the Agong Cup title for the very first time. They hardly troubled in the group stage, all the way to the final. It was a final match to remember for Terengganu. They won it with the last play of the match to overcome Sabah in the final match.

Terengganu came close for number of occasions especially in the 2017 where they were the host for final round. They started well but went down to Johor.

Terengganu will be happy to see all their investment in 7s and 15s provide result that they wish for. They will need to take full advantage of the strong support that they have. Terengganu is also one of a few states with their own rugby stadium which can be a massive advantage in developing their team to compete at the highest level.

Great job Terengganu!!
