Sabah sail to final

21 November 2019 – Sabah in complete control in the 1st semi-final of 2019 Agong Cup. The 100 – 0 scoreline to Sabah said it all as Sabah book the final slot to face Terengganu who won the second match.

The match saw Sabah scored a staggering 16 tries and completed 10 conversions in the process. Those tries cam from various source with Sakiusa Terence Gavidi and Sakeo Raloa Dibeci making their mark from the backline. Kelantan also had no answer to the forward pack as they physical difference between two team proved to be too much for them to handle.

Flanker, Danial Noor Hamidi was one of the try contributor as he scored 2 tries in the first half. National fly-half, Fairuz Abdul Rahman also had an outstanding game with 2 tries and 8 conversions.

Sabah ended the first half with 66 – 0 in the first half. That, however, did not slow them down in the second half.

Muhd Zul Hafeez Abdul Khalid scored the 16th try for Sabah late in the second half before Amirul Aqil Kamsol successful conversions made sure Sabah won the match by 100 points.

Sabah is set to face Terengganu in the final this Saturday. The last time both team played in the final was back in 2014 with Sabah lifted the Agong Cup with 29 – 10 scoreline.
