Raiders pull out

12 February 2019 – With less than a week before the kick-off of the 2019 Malaysia Rugby League, Iskandar Raiders is being forced to pull out from the competition. The news was confirmed by Malaysia Rugby League Tournament Director, Mr Fahmi Jalil this afternoon.

However, Fahmy did not share any reason on Raiders’s decision as he only mention it is due to unavoidable reason.

“The schedule for Malaysia Rugby League remains as the same. All the match that involving Iskandar Raiders will see the score as 28 – 0 win in favour of their opponent”, shared Fahmi.

Iskandar Raiders supposed to be competing in Group B in Malaysia Rugby League Premier. They are in the same group with Mersing Eagles, ASAS RC and NS Wanderers.

Iskandar Raiders could be fine by Malaysia Rugby Union for this decision. However, there is no news on that just yet as it will be confirmed by the MRU later.

7 teams will compete for Premier title. The first game is due this Saturday, 16 February 2019.
