15 completed level 1

Muizzuddin Yahaya

26 January 2019 – The first ever Training and Education (T&E) course of 2019 took place during the weekend there were 15 participants took part. The course was held at the IPG Sultan Abdul Halim Campus (IPSAH)


14 men and 1 woman completed the 2 days Level 1 match officiating 15s. The course was organised by Kedah Rugby Union under the leadership of Tan Sri Dato Wira Haji Abd Halim Karim and IPSAH in collaboration with Malaysia Rugby Union. The coordinator of the program was Syed Ahmad Azahar Syed Ambong who is also the Secretary-General of Kedah Rugby Union.

One of the participants, Muhaimin Zawawi shared his happiness on his Facebook, “There are tons of new input and knowledge for me to become a good referee. It is one of my dreams since 2008 when one of my teachers asked me to become the touch judge for a friendly match.”

The only female participant, Nurul Izzati bt Azali is also special a participant. She is only 19 years old and still studying in Kedah Matriculation College.

Izzati, Muhaimin and other 13 participants received the input from 2 experienced educators, Firdaus Sani and Abdul Hamid Sauh.
