Hibiscus maintain ARC status

30 June 2018 – Malaysia will have another chance to compete in Asia highest level in 2019 despiting finishing last in 2018 edition. This came after Asia no 1, Japan, decide not to compete in ARC as they want to focus on the upcoming 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Asia Rugby has yet to release the official statement but this came after the verbal confirmation from the Asia Rugby.

Malaysia lost all 4 matches to both Hong Kong and South Korea. Hong Kong lifts the title for the first time in their history with a 100% record throughout the campaign. They kept their world cup dream alive and will face Cook Island today.

The team will have brand new setup as Lee Nyuk Fah step down as the head coach. New Zealander, Brad Mika who previously acted as the team technical director will be the new head coach for the 2019 campaign.

The fan will be hoping the team to show more and challenge both Hong Kong and South Korea an eye opener 2018 campaign.
