Thunderstorm surged Kluang Test

26 April 2017 – Numbers of young rugger performed well during the Kluang Test 7’s Under 12 in Kluang during the weekend. 16 teams took part during the event which saw Thunderstorm Rugby Academy claimed the tittle for the second time after their first one back in 2014.

Thunderstorm dominated the final match as they comfortably beat Kings 50 – 10 in the final match.

Both Tunderstorm and Kings had 100% record in their group match as they win all the three matches. Polis Kem became the first team Thunderstorm when the lost 34 – 12 to the champion. Thunderstorm then demolished their opponent in their second and third match. They outplay Bilal Troopers 66 – 0 as well as Black Night 61 – 0 to topped Group D.

Kings finish top of the Group B as they beat SK Bandar Putra 25 – 0. They continue their fine display as they overcame Unicorn 31 – 5. They completed their group match with 20 – 5 win over Adik Manja.

Thunderstorm scored 3 tries as they beat Adik Manja 21 – 0 in the quarter final while Kings beat Rhino 15 – 0. Panthers and Polis Kem completed the 4 teams in the cup semi final when they beat Adik Manja and Rabenda.

Polis Kem unable to overcame the first match jinx as they once again beaten by Thunderstorm. It was a very close match as Thunderstorm won it 14 – 7. Kings won their semi final match 19 – 14 against Panthers.

The final match was not as close as expected when Thunderstorm dominate the final match from the first whistle until the end. They comfortably overcame Kings 50 – 10 after the final whistle.
