Women turn to gain experience in Australia.
18 April 2017 – Malaysia 7’s women showed significant improvement recently in the build up to the upcoming SEA Games 2017. They played well during the South East Asia 7’s which ended on Sunday as they finish fourth.
The women will be flying to Australia this May as they are looking to further improve the performance. They will be having intensive training as well as playing numbers of friendly match in Melbourne. They will fly on 1st May and will be flying back on 16th.
This will be the next part of preparation for the upcoming 2017 South East Asia Games which will be held in Kuala Lumpur later this year.
This is the third national team to fly in Australia. Malaysia 7’s Men took part in the City of Cockburn Invitational 7’s earlier this year while the Malaysia 15’s Men are going to Perth on the 19th as part of the preparation for the upcoming Asia Rugby Championship in Ipoh this May.
The team is having medical check up as well as fitness test at the moment. They are having their daily training at Padang Utara, Petaling Jaya before departing to Australia.
