Get Into Rugby – Early exposure for young rugby enthusiasts

4 November 2016 – Get Into Rugby (GIR) is an introduction program to all the young rugby enthusiasts age 6 to 17 years old. It is a module developed and issued by World Rugby back in 2014 since Rugby Seven’s was re-introduced into the Olympic Games.

It is the module of three; try, play and stay. The main idea in the program is to instil good moral values such as passion, discipline, solidarity and respect among young players. Parents as well as teachers play an important role in expanding the core of the program further.

The same program is being use by all the rugby organisation from various level all around the world.

More than 900 school pupils were involved during the launching of Get Into Rugby Programme at SK Putrajaya, Percint 8(1) this morning. Malaysia Rugby Union President, Dato’ Shahrul Zaman bin Yahya launch the programme. It started at 8.15 as schedule and ended at noon.
