24 June 2018 – Malaysia University Rugby 7s team had a good rehearsal in the 4 teams friendly match yesterday. The game took place at the Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School.
The team who only have less than one month to prepare for the FISU 2018 World University Rugby Sevens Championship did well as they won one out of 3 matches. They only lost to the Malaysia national team by two tries. This team beat Singapore 7s team 24 – 7 in the opening match. They, however, were shocked by the young Singapore team as they were beaten 12 – 17 by the Singapore U20 team in the last match.

The team had the first phase of training session form 6 – 8 June 2018. They returned to the training camp on 20th June after the Aidilfitri brake. The team will have to make sure they gained their fitness as that was certainly the issue in the last match where they lost to Singapore Under 20 team after two outstanding performance before that.
