Mamu ended his legacy with a bang

17 July 2017 – The captain for UPM Angels ended his MASUM campaign with a bang.

Nazuridin Abd Latiff, assisted his team to extend their fine run of gold medal in Rugby by beating UiTM in the final with 33-10 scoreline, winning for the medal for 4 consecutive years.

This MASUM game is the swan song for Nazuridin as he had completed his tertiary education at UPM. He has a diploma in Computer Programming. However, his desire to give back to society and contribute to the nation lead him to pursue a degree in Physical Education, of which he passed and waiting for the convocation.

He started playing rugby since 2004. Throughout his rugby journey, he has played 15 times for Malaysia 7s (2013-2016), played as Pack Leader (2014-2015) and captained the UPM Angels (2016-2017).

His finest hours include winning the MRL 2016 with all local university players and representing Malaysia for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.

He suffered ACL injury. However, this doesn’t stop him from playing. A persistent person he is. We hope that Nazuridin continue playing after MASUM and continue to be active in rugby. Rumours has it…he is heading to the east cost for the coming Piala Agong.
